On 8 September 2009, the President of the Czech Republic Václav Klaus visited Skuteč within his visit of the Chrudim region. After the reception on the square, the President, accompanied by the First Lady Livie Klausová, visited our company. The President was welcomed by the owner and managing director of the company Mr. Vlastimil Nešetřil with his wife Jana and was introduced to individual directors of the company: Ilona Polanská, Petr Ištvánek and Michal Pokorný. They informed the President and his retinue on the beauty of the natural stone, which our company tries to arouse all over the republic. After a short interview, mainly about the use of stone in modern time and renovation of historical centres of towns, the President and his wife signed a memorial sheet and accepted a small present – stone dog Granik. After they had left, they continued according to their itinerary.
